Frequently Asked Questions

How many opportunities will I receive?

Opportunities are curated to each individual HTN member's profile, and you will only receive opportunities that are highly targeted to your skills and preferences. We work closely with our partners to deliver specific opportunities to a select group or even a single individual, to ensure we reach the right person with an opportunity that fits their professional goals. 

I'm not looking for a new job. Should I still use opportunities?

HTN Opportunities include far more than executive roles. Set your preferences to tell us if you're interested in investor introductions, speaking opportunities, company introductions, board seats and more. We'll only deliver you the types of opportunities that you've expressed interest in.

How do I adjust what kinds of opportunities I'm seeing?

You can set your opportunities preferences within the HTN app. These preferences can be adjusted at any point depending on what kinds of professional opportunities you're looking for.

What happens if I don't respond to any opportunities? Will I continue to receive new ones?

Because each opportunity is only delivered to a highly targeted group of individuals, we want to ensure that our partners reach HTN members who are actively engaged in meeting their next career milestone. You can always reject an opportunity, but if you don't respond at all after a period of time, we'll stop delivering new opportunities until you let us know that you're open to them once again. If you know that you're not going to be able to pursue any new opportunities for a period of time, we encourage you to update your preferences in the HTN app to avoid being sent opportunities you won't be able to review.

Are my opportunity preferences public?

No. Your opportunity preferences are private and cannot be seen by other users or directly by our partners. 

If I am an HTN partner and my company posts an opportunity in the HTN app, how many individuals will see it?

Opportunities are not posted publicly. When a partner posts an opportunity, it is delivered only to HTN members who meet the opportunity's skill and experience requirements, and who have indicated their interest in that kind of opportunity. Curated and targeted opportunities provide the best experience for our members and our partners, saving everyone time by only delivering opportunities and candidates that we are confident will be a good fit.
